Our Story

A warm welcome to York Apothecary, a true partnership founded by husband and wife team, Steve & Rachel. From our home in North Yorkshire we lovingly produce handcrafted fragranced reed diffusers & room sprays.

York Apothecary resulted from a tiny nugget of an idea in the January 2021 lockdown about converting a long held passion for fragrance into an online business. Rachel has always made fragranced reed diffusers & room sprays for our own home so we decided to combine our sales & marketing backgrounds to create York Apothecary. With people now spending more time than ever both socialising & working from home a beautifully fragrant home has never been more important & our range is the perfect way to achieve this.

We wanted to create products using the best quality ingredients we could find and locally source wherever possible. An affordable everyday home fragrance range using luxury fragrance oils was our goal.
